indie

this post should be my independence day post. i really feel like i'm bound to something on this day of independence. it's like i'm tied up to something i should be responsible of. what i'm talking about is the start of classes. i'm really looking forward to attending my first encounter with a language i'm not really familiar with, and that's spanish. (whew, long intro, huh...) i really don't know what to expect with that subject. however, i don't consider that as the real start of class because i still have thursday when everybody goes to school. this day should promote independence... independence from record label. salute to all indie artist out there! (and shout-outs to ogie and regine)

some of the things i learned from freshstart

  • trust your camera - use your own because you have the "special kind of bonding"
  • shoot objectively - coz you'd end up having the same pictures of those cute and cuddly freshies
  • roam around - so you'd get nice angles and point of view. also, you'd get the side stories
  • bring extra batteries - or even your battery charger
  • utilize the maximum storage capacity of your memory card - as much as possible, don't delete pictures 'coz some look like were shot with a lomo (cool, right?)
  • interact with your subject
  • and make sure you're really in the documentation team.

freshstart 07

fun and tiring - these are the two words which could capture my whole freshstart 07 experience. i really had fun meeting new freshies. i can't help but compare some of them to my former blockmates. some would resemble the same attitudes towards activities(not participative in activities); some freshies would act just like how some of blockmates would act (try to be "cool", cut the freshstart); and some would really remind you of your blockmate. i also had fun with the new friends i met. i never thought i'd meet some of the upper classmen i frequently see. and not to forget are some of my batchmates. i got the chance to share some jokes and make fun after a very tiring day. i then had fun by always running for good photo-ops. other than covering the activities my block, block L, did, i also sidelined for shooting most of the events during the three-day orientation for the freshmen, from the registration down to the awarding ceremonies. plus plus... free food, and c2 drinks and id lace this three-day affair is really tiring that after registration, i had sweat-soaked black shirt. (yeah, quite disgusting). after lunch on the first day, i really wanted to retire because solidarity lunch was a riot. a total riot. total wreck... but after that we were treated with unlimited turons and iced tea as we went home after the briefing, which served as my dinner. i was really tired that when i went home, i had to eat for a while and watch the remaining 15 minutes of who wants to be a superhero, and then sleep for 9 hours straight. i really did enjoy that freshstart.

that post took so much time for me to write that - which shouldn't be the case because starting this sem, i have so many paper-demanding subjects. this future experience might be a good starting point for my future endeavors. i need to enhance my vocab...

lead me with your light, luna. lead me to your light, luna. lead me, just lead me, luna.

bitin, tian

and wow i'm still up, though its past 2 in the morning. i've been to christian carlo's place. we had this early celebration for his incoming birthday which is on the fifth. also, this is the first time after a month that our stinking barkada, jerbax, got reunited. i had fun playing both uno cards and nba live 2007. it's a good thing i brought my uno cards. it was casey, finney and ben's first time to play but they played well. playing uno cards was the means to ease the boredom while waiting for two of our friends end their live game. however, it was my first time to play nba live 2007, which was fun, though. i was unbeaten by ben and finney, using my team, the san antonio spurs. ahaha. what made the game complicated was the separation of dunk and lay-up. (now it seems that 2005 was the last version i played, nba live) i really wish we had still time to have rounds of playing uno and live... shoutouts to 'tian's parents: thanks...
